Founded in 2012 by Soria Rem and Mehdi Ouachek, two world-renowned multi-disciplinary dancers, the Art Move Concept (AMC) company has been propelled to the forefront of the French dance scene, thanks to the television and internet media boom.
The singular style imposed by the couple in their choreographic work is both appealing and innovative to the big names in dance.
Their first major form, “Nibiru”, was an international success, making them part of the world’s contemporary dance heritage as a “highlight” of the Jacob’s pillow festival in the USA.
This was followed by three large-scale works, “Exit” in 2015, “Fli” in 2017, and “Anopas” in 2021, all of which continue to tour, leading the two choreographers to methodically make their mark on the dance scene with an unrivalled multidisciplinary style.
From 2015 to 2021, the company will be an associate artist at the Scène Nationale des Gémeaux in Sceaux, and during this period it will establish a long-term presence in the south-east of Paris, where Soria Rem and Mehdi Ouachek are becoming key cultural players.
Based in the town of Nemours and supported by Valérie Lacroute, MP and mayor of Nemours, the couple continue to share their know-how, multiplying their collaborations.
In this way, they invest the French cultural heritage of the art of movement in numerous projects both locally and internationally (Mourad Merzouki, Pietragalla, Slava Polunin and many others).
To this day, the AMC company remains involved in the southern Seine-et-Marne region. As artists associated with the Sénart national stage, the company continues to build loyalty with its partners, both artistically and pedagogically, throughout France. Seine et Marne (Sénart, Nemours, Montereau, Coulommiers, Savigny-le-Temple) Haut de Seine (Sceaux) La ville d’Aix en Provence, Les Yvelines (Trappes) but also Scandinavia and Mauritania.
