Soria and Mehdi sign their most personal show with “Anopas”, a tribute to the artists. They deliver their own anecdotes through their very singular style, mixing their Hip-Hop roots with the fluidity of contemporary dance, including the circus arts. Once again inspired by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, they share sometimes with humor, like silent cinema, sometimes with melancholy, the difficulties and the joys of the artistic way. In "Anopas", the duo invites the public into the privacy of their journey, sown with doubts, fears of those around them, but also of success and happiness.

This sixth opus continues the work of the last two shows, Exit and Fli. Based on everyday situations, Soria Rem and Mehdi Ouachek have fun twisting and distorting reality to reveal the extraordinary. The concepts of dreams and inner conflict are omnipresent once more. This time, however, the choreographers focus on constructing and developing characters – based on the experiences of the performers – in spite of this internal psychological battle.

"A lovely work written by Soria Rem and Mehdi Ouachek for nine performers (including the choreographers). It stresses the links between hip-hop dance and the arts of mime, notably via references to Charlie Chaplin and his film Modern Times. The costumes are in sepia, and the movements are precise, human and appreciably diverse between hip-hop styles, hints of ballet and circus contortion. A kaleidoscope of different scenes is fuelled by the experiences of the performers, portraying their desires and suffering as they struggle to make dance their metier. A wonderful tribute ‘to our steps’, meaning their steps, dance steps and steps taken in life, as well as to the diversity that makes this country and its culture choreographic."
